Published digitally three times a year, Eemis Stane furthsets poetry, fiction, essays and polemics in Scots o ony and ilka variety, frae ilka airt and pairt. The kind o Scots ye scrieve in is faur less important tae us than the thing ye’re yaisin it tae say.
Sae send us yer poems and yer prose, yer hingmies and yer bittocks, yer eemis stanes and gangrel buddies. If ye’ve set yer guid Scots tongue tae paper and dinnae ken yet wha’d want tae read it – the answer’s starin ye richt in the pus. Us. We dae. We want tae read it.

Submission Guidelines
Aw submissions should be sent tae us at submissions@eemisstane.com.
Poetry submissions can consist o up tae three poems, totallin up tae 75 lines. If ye’re sendin mair than ane poem, please send them awthegither in jist the ae document.
Prose submissions, o baith fiction and non-fiction, should be nae langer than 2000 wirds. Please dinnae send us mair than the ae prose submission per issue.
Aw wark submittit should be previously unpublished.
Wark should be submittit in .doc or .rtf formats.
